Mr. Gotuaco, was appointed and elected to the board of directors on May 2024. He concurrently serves on its Risk Management and Trust Committees.  Prior to this, since February 2019, he was SEVP and Head of Central Operations at BDO.

Mr. Gotuaco started in 1986 trading bonds and futures at Chemical Bank, New York. In 1994, he re-based to Hong Kong, where he was an investment banker for corporate, bank, and sovereign clients in the Philippines, Southeast Asia, and non-Japan Asia. In 1994, he worked at J.P. Morgan; in 2002, for Credit Suisse First Boston; and in 2005, for Merrill Lynch in its fixed income division and as a member of its Asia Pacific Operating Committee. In 2009, Mr. Gotuaco moved to Singapore, where he helped manage U.S. investments for Brunei.  From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Gotuaco served as BPI’s CFO; and from 2016 to 2018, as Head of Retail Banking.

Mr. Gotuaco obtained a BS Economics degree, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1986; and an MBA from HBS in 1994.  Mr. Gotuaco is Treasurer and a board member of the Philippine Clearing House Corp. and a member of the Operations Committee of the BAP.

Mr. Andrada, has served in this role since February 2024. He is responsible for managing the Bank’s client relationships, and leads its nationwide network of relationship managers and wealth centers.

Mr. Andrada has 26 years of sales, asset management, trust, and capital markets experience. He joined the Bank after 4 years at BDO Securities, where he headed sales. Prior to this, he held senior roles in BDO’s Trust & Investment Group, and oversaw its significant growth during a 16-year stint there.  Mr. Andrada joined BDO in 2003 from BPI’s Asset Management & Trust Group, where he was responsible for business development across institutional and retail clients. He began his career in 1987 in Far East Bank’s treasury unit.

Mr. Andrada obtained a BS Commerce degree from De La Salle University, in 1984; and an MBA, also from De La Salle University, in 1989.

Mr. Grau, has been the Bank’s Head of Investment Products & Strategy since Nov. 2015. He is responsible for assessing market conditions and developing strategies that enable clients to optimize returns, within set risk parameters. Mr. Grau publishes research and presentations for the Bank’s clients and Investment Committee. He leads the Bank’s team of Investment Strategists and develops standards for their conduct of portfolio reviews with clients. Finally, Mr. Grau is also responsible for vetting and accrediting external providers of asset management services.

Prior to 2015, Mr. Grau was based in New York, where he worked for 22 years at Neuberger Bergman, a leading investment firm, which offers and manages fixed income, equities, mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative assets for institutional and high net worth clients. Prior to this, between 1989 and 1993, he worked as an auditor for Bank of New York, New York.

Mr. Grau obtained a BS Management & Computer Science degree, with honors, from Rutgers College, Rutgers University, in 1989, where he majored in Management; and an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University, in 1998, where he majored in Finance and Accounting.

Mr. Rivera, was appointed Treasurer in October 2018. He is responsible for managing the Bank’s securities investments and liquidity positions. He also makes markets in foreign exchange and related derivative products for the Bank’s clients.

Mr. Rivera has several years of sales and trading experience, in both local and international markets. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked for 7 years at Deutsche Bank, Philippine branch, where he was responsible for marketing FX, interest rate, equities, and commodities derivative solutions to banks and other financial institutions, and headed its Institutional Client Group. Prior to this, for 8 years, he managed a diverse investment portfolio at JG Summit Capital Markets, which he joined following a 5-year stint at PCI Bank, where he was responsible for all local currency trading.  Mr. Rivera also worked at Citytrust Banking Corp. in 1992 as a local currency/rates trader. 

Mr. Rivera obtained a BS Legal Management degree from Ateneo de Manila University, in 1988.

Mr. Lledo,  has headed Wealth Structuring since May 2024. He assists clients seeking solutions to address matters involving family succession, estate planning, and asset distribution.  He uses a multidisciplinary approach, involving trusts, insurance, and other tools. Mr. Lledo also assists in vetting tax, legal, and insurance service providers recommended to clients. Prior to this, Mr. Lledo served 20 years in BDO’s Institutional Banking Group, where he was most recently responsible for its International Desk.

Mr. Lledo has significant international banking experience, having opened a representative office in Vietnam for a prior employer and served on boards of BDO’s remittance subsidiaries in Japan, Canada, and the U.S. Mr. Lledo is also an experienced investment banker, having arranged complex financings for infrastructure, and conventional renewable energy projects, many of which garnered awards. He also has significant experience in loan syndication, liability management, IPOs, and M&A.

Mr. Lledo obtained his Juris Doctor from Arellano University School of Law.  A Philippine Bar member, he volunteers as a tutor with Gabay Aral, a reading proficiency program.  Mr. Lledo is also a lector and member of the Parish Finance Council at the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart. Finally, he also trains aspiring bankers at BDO in project finance.

Ms. Maria Judith L. Castillo, was appointed the Bank’s Chief Compliance Officer in March 2020. She is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Bank’s compliance to relevant regulatory regimes, including those of the BSP and AMLC.

Prior to joining BDO Private Bank, Ms. Castillo was the Chief Compliance Officer of Citibank N.A., Philippine branch. A lawyer by training, Ms. Castillo also served as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel of Bank of the Philippine Islands, between 2013-2014 and Associate Country Counsel at Citibank, N.A., Philippine Branch, where she served in this capacity for 11+ years.

Ms. Castillo earned her Bachelor of Laws, as well a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, from the University of the Philippines, in 1991. She is a certified Trust professional.

Ms. Yacat,  is the Trust Officer of BDO Private Bank, and is responsible for managing the trust and fiduciary accounts of the Bank’s high net worth individuals and related investment vehicles. She also serves as a member of the Bank’s Trust Committee. Ms. Yacat joined the Bank in January 2022.

Prior to this Ms. Yacat was a Portfolio Manager for 17+ years at RCBC, managing trust and fiduciary accounts of both corporate and retail clients.  She also worked in corporate planning at Allied Bank and Insular Life. Ms. Yacat began her career at Solidbank, where she worked for 3 years in the corporate banking after finishing the bank's Officers' Development Program.

Ms. Yacat obtained an AB Management Economics degree in 1993 from Ateneo de Manila University, where she also completed master degree-level units. Ms. Yacat obtained Trust Portfolio Management and Operation certifications at the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines, in 2003. She was certified as a Treasury Professional by Ateneo-BAP and Chartered Trust and Estate Planner (CTEP) by the American Academy of Financial Management in the Philippines (AAFM) in 2021 and 2024, respectively.  

Ms. Estrella,  has headed BDO Private Bank Operations since April 2020, overseeing day-to-day processing and settlement of trading, loan, and payment transactions.  She also manages systems maintenance and development projects for the Bank. Ms. Estrella is among the graduates of BDO’s Leadership Development Program, which commenced in 2019. Prior to this, Ms. Estrella served as head of the Bank’s Trust Operations, for 8 years. 

Before joining BDO, Ms. Estrella spent 8 years with Citibank N.A., Philippine branch where she worked in Operations for the treasury and securities units, earning various Service Excellence Awards, a scholarship to a 1-year course at the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines (TIFP) and another scholarship for the Master in Business Management program at Asian Institute of Management (AIM), from which she graduated in 1996.

Ms. Estrella graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman in 1989, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has also worked as a part time teacher at the Ateneo Information Technology Institute and Thames International Business School.

Ms. Coronel, heads the Client & Transaction Services (CTS) team in BDO Private Bank, primarily responsible for account and transaction servicing. She has served in this capacity since November 2024.  Prior to this, she headed the client servicing teams in BDO Securities, from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, since 2022, she has been the lead resource representing the BDO Group’s wealth units in enterprise-wide process improvement and systems development projects impacting client servicing.

Ms. Coronel has 25 years of client servicing and operations experience in wealth management. Prior to joining BDO, she served as Head of Operations for Securities Services at Standard Chartered Bank, Philippine Branch, for 4 years. In 2015-2016, Standard Chartered was recognized as the Best Custodian Bank in the Philippines. Prior to this, Ms. Coronel was based in Los Angeles, CA, where she worked at Morgan Stanley between 2008 and 2016.

Ms. Coronel obtained a BA Quantitative Economics degree from the University of Asia and the Pacific in 1999; and an MBA from California State University – East Bay, in 2008. Ms. Coronel is also a certified trust professional with the Trust Institute of the Philippines.

Mr. Villaluz,  was appointed to his role in January 2025. He is responsible for assisting senior management in formulating business strategy and financial forecasts, developing financial and capital budgets, and monitoring adherence to performance targets. He also assists the President in delivering reports and engagements for governance, compliance, and other stakeholder purposes.

Mr. Villaluz joined BDO in 2016 where, he worked in the Office of the President in project management roles, including in data & analytics, and in digital, retail and institutional banking. Prior to 2016, he was a Senior Director of Global Financial Planning & Analysis at Visa, Inc., based in in San Francisco, CA.  At Visa, he was responsible for budgets and forecasts across North and Latin America, Asia, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. He played a key role in Visa’s $19 billion IPO. Mr. Villaluz began his career in 2006 as a consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants in Pasadena, CA, where he worked for 2 years.

Mr. Villaluz is a CFA® Charterholder. He obtained his BS degree in chemical engineering, cum laude, from De La Salle University, in 2002. He received a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, in 2005.

Ms. Ibarrientos, has been CRO since February 19, 2024. She is responsible for ensuring the Bank’s resiliency against credit, market, and operational risks; in particular, interest rate, liquidity, and information security risks.  Concurrent to her current role, Ms. Ibarrientos serves as the Bank’s Data Privacy Officer.

Prior to joining the Bank, Ms. Ibarrientos worked for 18 years as a risk officer in BDO’s Trust and Investments Group (TIG).  In TIG, she developed and implemented its market, liquidity, credit and operational risk management policies and procedures, where she identified, analyzed and measured risk exposures. Ms. Ibarrientos was responsible for recommending risk limits and monitored them on a day-to-day basis. She also implemented reports on market valuation of securities positions, operational risk self-assessments and other management reports. In this role, Ms. Ibarrientos reported to the Risk Management and Trust Committees of BDO Unibank.

Ms. Ibarrientos obtained a BS Business Economics degree, magna cum laude, from University of the Philippines, Diliman in 2006. She completed her Trust Operations and Investment Management education with distinction from Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines in 2008. She also obtained certification as a Treasury Professional by Ateneo – BAP Institute of Banking in 2024.

Ms. Lim, has held her current position since January 2025. She is responsible for the Bank’s asset administration function, which encompasses high value properties of clients, such as personal valuables, documents and titles, real properties, and corporate vehicles. Prior to this, since 2023, she served in BDO’s Institutional Banking Group as the Head of Global Operations Unit, where she provided administrative support to BDO’s international representative offices and remittance subsidiaries.

Prior to this, Ms. Lim had 9+ years of private banking experience as Business Manager at Bank of Singapore Limited, Philippine Representative Office. She provided decision support to strategic planning, market expansion initiatives, and sales and performance management. Her responsibilities there included the middle office (operations), business continuity planning and execution, client events and marketing, and operational risk management. 

Ms. Lim obtained a BS commerce degree in legal management from De La Salle University, Manila, in 2007. She also completed a certification in AI for Finance, from Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in 2019.
