SME Loan

Application requirements


Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Corporation or Employed Individuals.
 
  • At least 21 years old but not exceeding 70 years old at the end of the loan term
  • With stable source of income from employment or business
  • Minimum annual gross sales of ₱1M for business or;
  • Minimum monthly gross income of ₱50,000 for employed individuals
  • Business is within BDO serviceable area
     

  • Filled-out and signed application form
  • Clear copy of one (1) valid ID matching application details
  • Marriage Contract (if applicable)

Individual/Sole Proprietorship

  1. Locally employed
    • Latest Income Tax Return or BIR Form 2316 or latest three (3) months payslips
    • Latest Certificate of Employment with Income (COEI)
  2. Self-employed 
    • Photocopy of Audited Financial Statements for the last 2 years with latest ITR
    • Bank Statements for the last 6 months or Photocopy of Passbook showing at least 6 months transactions
    • Certificate of Business Registration with DTI
    • Business background/Company Profile
  3.     Employed Abroad
    • Proof of Remittance for the last six (6) months
    • Latest three (3) months payslips
    • Latest Crew Contract (for seafarers)
    • Certificate of Employment with Salary/Employment Contract (Consularized if no proof of remittance is submitted)
  4. From Rental of Property/ies
    • Lease Contract
    • Photocopy of TCT/CCT

Partnership/Corporation

  • Photocopy of Audited Financial Statements for the last 2 years with latest ITR
  • Bank Statements for the last six (6) months or Photocopy of Passbook showing at least 6 months transactions

    Any of the following

  • Partnership – Articles of Partnership and Certificate of Registration issued by SEC
  • Corporation – Certificate of Registration issued by SEC, Latest Amended Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, List of Elected Officers / General Information Sheet, Board Resolution or Secretary’s Certificate
  • Business Background / Company Profile
  • Proof of other income, if any

 
  • Photocopy of TCT/CCT
  • Photocopy of Tax Declaration (for land improvement)
  • Reservation Agreement or Contract to Sell of Statement of Account (for BDO Accredited Developers only)

Application Process

Frequently Asked Questions

You can borrow up to 70% of the value of your real estate properties.

For instance, you can loan up to ₱5.6 Million for a House & Lot with an appraised value of ₱8 Million

Appraised value maybe determined during property appraisal, upon loan application.

  • If collateral offered is within 30km. radius from any BDO branch – ₱5,000

  • Handling fee - ₱5,000 
  • Notarization Fee - ₱500 per document
  • Collateral Registration fee - Based on the approved loan amount and standard Registry of Deeds (RD) fees. 
  • Documentary Stamp Tax - ₱1.50 for every ₱200 of the approved loan amount
  • Credit Life Insurance (CLI) 

    ₱4.75 for every ₱1,000 of the approved loan amount (assuming standard rate for borrowers up to 49 years old)

    ₱6.50 for every ₱1,000 of the approved loan amount (assuming standard rate for borrowers ages 50 to 69 years old)

  • Fire Insurance (FI) Premium - Based on the appraised value of the improvement on the property submitted as collateral

  • Contractors All Risk Insurance  (CARI) - Applicable to Term Loan (Construction). Based on the evaluated Bill of Materials of the property for construction. 

  • Annual Commitment Fee (for Ready Check credit line facility) 
    • ₱30,000 for up to ₱5M line amount
    • ½ of 1% of line amount for ₱30,000 whichever is lower for line amount above 5M to 20M
    • ½ of 1% of line amount for ₱50,000 whichever is lower for line amount above 20M

  • Checkbook Requisition Fee (for Ready Check credit line facility) – ₱500 per booklet

Other Bank Fees*

  • Processing Fee
    • For Term Loan and Ready Check credit line facility - ₱3,500 will be collected in case of full payment of loan before its maturity date
    • For Term Loan only – ₱5,000 will be collected for the cancellation of approved loan

If you have submitted your application form along with your identification, income and property or collateral documents, you will receive a loan decision within ten (10) banking days.

For Term Loan
  • Monthly loan payments are deducted from your enrolled BDO account via Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA)

  • You may refer to your Amortization Schedule for your monthly payment and loan details.
For Ready Check credit line facility
  • Minimum amount due is deducted from your enrolled BDO account via ADA.
  • Outstanding Balance maybe paid in partial or in full over the counter at any BDO branch nationwide.
You need to settle at least 5% of your availed amount every quarter.

This will be added to your minimum amount due.

For easy monitoring of your transactions, you can check your monthly electronic Statement of Account (eSOA) which indicates your available credit line, minimum amount due, total outstanding balance and other credit line details.

Note: Please ensure that your account is sufficiently funded before the due date of your monthly loan payments to avoid penalties and late payment charges.

Yes. Getting insurance is important for your own security and to protect your property from unfortunate incidents that may happen during the term of your loan.

Credit Life Insurance (CLI
) – Financial protection in case of untimely death or total disablement. It can pay off your loan’s total outstanding balance.

Fire Insurance (FI)
– Financial protection for the property. It can pay off the damages or loss due to fire, calamity, catastrophe, etc.

Contractors All Risk Insurance (CARI)
– Applicable to Construction Loan, it provides coverage for damage / risks normally associated with the construction project.

For Term Loan clients, BDO offers payment of insurance premium under the BUILT-IN INSURANCE facility.

Under this, premium is spread out in 12 monthly installments without interest and billed together with your monthly amortization.

For Ready Check credit line facility, premium payment may either be deducted from an enrolled BDO Account via Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) or paid Over The Counter (OTC) at any BDO Branch nationwide.

To set up your Multipurpose Loan Account: 

  1. Log in to your BDO Online Banking.
  2. Go to Enrollment Services.
  3. Add your Multipurpose Loan Account.

Once your account is set-up, you may view your Account and Transaction Details, such as Account Number, Interest Rate, Monthly Amortization, Outstanding Balance, etc. 

BDO Loans Quick Inquiry

  1. Click here to check your account. 
  2. Fill out the form with your loan account and personal details. 
  3. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) through your registered mobile number to complete your log in.

Note: Online Banking and BDO Loans Quick Inquiry is only applicable for Term Loan

Please ensure to keep your contact information updated:
  1. Go to Loan Client Request and choose Loan Information Update
  2. Click Client Information and choose your applicable category
  3. Accomplish the online form and click Submit
To request copy of your loan document(s), amortization schedule or full payment computation:
  1. Go to Loan Client Request and choose Document Request
  2. Click the appropriate link for the document you want to request
  3. Accomplish the form and submit as instructed
Below requests will be charged with corresponding processing fees.
  • Payment Summary / History of Payment – ₱200
  • Certificate of Outstanding Balance – ₱100
  • Interest Applied & Total Interest Paid – ₱200 (for Home and Multipurpose Loan)
  • Certificate of Mortgage – ₱100 (for Home and Multipurpose Loan)

Once your loan has been fully paid and cleared by the Bank, you will be notified via SMS/email of the availability of your collateral documents, which includes the title.

To request the release of your collateral documents, go to Loan Client Request and click Collateral Request.
 
Please be advised that there is a 6-month claim period for collateral documents. After which, a Safekeeping Fee will be charged, as follows:
  • After 6 months from date of SMS/email on the availability of collateral document – ₱500 per Loan Account
  • Every year thereafter that the documents remain unclaimed – Additional ₱500

Make changes to your ADA account

Call Customer Contact Center at (+632) 8631-8000 for due date change and request for computation of accrued interest payable prior to change.

To lengthen (add no. of years) or shorten (lessen no. of years) your Loan Term, submit the following requirements at any BDO branch.

Lengthening
  • Completed Customer Request Form
  • Proof Income (any of the following)
    • Bank  statement for the  last 6 months
    • Certificate of Employment (COE) / Income Tax Return (ITR) /
    • Pay slip (if employed)
    • Income Tax Return (ITR) / Audited Financial Statement  (if self-employed)

Submission of Endorsed Life Insurance Policy

Submit the following at nearest BDO branch
  • Customer Request Form
  • Photocopy of Life Insurance Policy endorsed to BDO Unibank, Inc.
  • Letter of Undetaking    
(Applicable only if insurance is not yet fully paid; should be signed by all borrowers)
 
Once request is approved, prepare the following for submission:
  • Original copy of Endorsed Life Insurance Policy
    - Should be issued by a Philippine Insurance company accredited by BDOI.
  • Coverage period is not less than the term of the loan
  • Official Receipt or Certificate of Full Payment for entire period

Set an appointment as soon as you receive a notification to claim your collateral documents 
Note: Choose your preferred date and time from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on banking days. No walk-ins allowed.

Kindly expect an SMS and email confirmation of your appointment with a BDO email address where you should send a copy of one (1) valid government-issued ID (with 3 specimen signatures) of the Claimant/s (Borrower/s / Registered Owner/s and/or Authorized Representative) for advance validation. Original copies to be presented upon claiming of the collateral documents.

For any complaint or concern, the client may visit our branch or our BDO Consumer Assistance Management System online at https://www.bdo.com.ph/consumer-assistance. The client agrees and understands that BDO shall take actions within 7 to 10 banking days from receipt of complete information and relevant documents in hard copies or electronic form from the client.
