(2) Account Closure Fee will be collected if account is closed within 30 days from account opening.
(3) Falling Below Minimum Balance Fee will be collected if account falls below the required minimum MADB for two consecutive months.
(4) Account Dormancy Fee will be collected if account is dormant and falls below the minimum MADB.
- A checking account is dormant if it has no client-initiated activity for one (1) year.
- Collection will start five (5) years after the last client-initiated activity date.
- The revised collection and dormancy fee is effective April 25, 2017.

Here’s how to open a Peso Checking account online:
Basic debit cards can be picked up at any BDO branch on the same day that you receive an email confirmation that your account is opened.
Personalized debit cards can be picked up at your chosen BDO branch in 3 to 5 banking days (Metro Manila) or in 2 to 3 weeks (Provinces) after you receive the email confirmation that your account is opened.
NOTE: You may be asked to submit additional documents at the BDO branch after further evaluation.
