Promo Mechanics

1. The BDO No Membership Fee For Life Acquisition Program (“Promo”) is open to NEW Principal credit card applicants who:

   1. Do not have an existing Principal credit card issued by BDO Unibank and have not had one in the last six (6) months before application;

   2. Apply for any of the following BDO Credit Cards within the promo period

2. The program will run from September 15 until December 31, 2021 (“Promo Period”).

3. To be eligible for the Promo, BDO Credit Card applicant should meet the following criteria:

   1. Card application of participating card product must be fully approved and Card is subsequently issued within the Promo Period.

   2. Card applicant must avail of any one of the following in order to qualify for “No Membership Fee For Life”:

      1. Avail of Balance Transfer within 90 days from card approval at a low monthly add-on rate of 0% on 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 month terms using your new BDO Credit Card; Minimum Amount of Php10,000 is required and shall be subject to available credit limit. (How to avail, see T&C #4 below)

      2. Avail of Cash-It-Easy within 90 days from card approval at a low monthly add-on rate of 0.59% on 12, 18, 24, or 36 month terms using your new BDO Credit Card;  Minimum Amount of Php10,000 is required and shall be subject to available credit limit. (How to avail, see T&C #4 below)

      3. Meet Spend Requirement of at least Php30,000 within 90 days from card approval using your new BDO Credit Card

4. A qualified Cardholder who meets the above eligibility criteria shall be entitled to "No Membership Fee" For Life for the newly approved BDO Credit Card (“No Membership Fee For Life”) subject to this promo’s terms and conditions and the BDO Credit Card terms and conditions.

5. Once Cardholder meets 3a and 3b above, they will receive a notification from BDO (via SMS, Viber, or eDM) informing them that the “No Membership Fee For Life” will be applied to the qualified BDO Credit Card.

6. A qualified Cardholder may only avail of this offer one-time under this program (for one BDO Credit Card only).

Terms & Conditions

1. The “No Membership Fee For Life” assigned to a qualified Principal Credit Card is non-transferable to another Principal Credit Card, not extendible to Supplementary Credit Cards, and non-convertible to cash or any kind of credit or reward.

2. Qualified Principal Cardholders will be entitled to this Membership Fee Waiver for as long as the BDO Credit Card remains active and in good credit standing. BDO reserves the right to charge the Membership Fee to the corresponding account if the account is found to be invalid, delinquent or fraudulent. BDO will charge the Membership Fee to the corresponding Principal account, without prior notice and at BDO’s discretion. 

3. The Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing acquisition promos of BDO Credit Cards.

4. Once BDO Credit Card application has been approved, Cardholder can choose to avail of Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy via:

​Please note that the qualified BDO Credit Card must be approved and activated prior to availment of Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy. 

5. For Cardholders who need to avail of Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy to qualify for the “No Membership Fee For Life”:

1. The Promo monthly add-on rates below shall apply to qualified Cardholders who avail of Cash-It-Easy.  For qualified Cardholders who avail of Balance Transfer, the monthly add-on rate is 0%.

*Minimum amount required is Php10,000 per transaction

2. Cardholder must avail of a Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy transaction within 90 days from card approval.

3. Promo rates are valid for the first Balance Transfer and Cash-It-Easy transaction only. Prevailing rates to apply on the succeeding Balance Transfer and Cash-It-Easy transactions.

4. The principal amount with interest will be deducted from and should be within the available credit limit.

5. A Balance Transfer Installment Availment Fee of P250 or Cash-It-Easy Installment Availment Fee of P200 will be charged for every approved Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy transaction. The Installment Availment Fee is non-refundable and will be due/payable even if Cardholder decides to pay the entire remaining balance before the end of the payment term.

6. Approved Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy applications can no longer be reversed/cancelled.

7. BDO may, at its sole and absolute option, accommodate Cardholder’s request to accelerate the charging of the full amount of the remaining unbilled monthly amortization/s on the Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy installment transactions, provided that the Cardholder’s total outstanding balance due for the pertinent monthly billing cycle is paid in full. Further, an installment processing fee of 5% of the total remaining balance or P300, whichever is higher, will be charged to the Cardholder’s account. After BDO has approved the Cardholder’s acceleration, the total accelerated amount and the installment processing fee shall form part of the total outstanding amount due for the pertinent monthly billing cycle and must be paid in full.

8. All BDO Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy applications submitted are subject to the final credit approval of BDO. Once approved, the Balance Transfer or Cash-It-Easy Terms & Conditions and the prevailing fees and charges shall apply.

9. For Cash-It-Easy, Cardholder must have an open and valid BDO Peso Checking or Savings Deposit Account where the Cash-It-Easy proceeds may be credited. Cash proceeds will be posted in at least 3 banking days from the posting date of the Cash-It-Easy transaction in the BDO Credit Card account. 

6. For Cardholders who need to meet the Spend Requirement to qualify for the “No Membership Fee For Life”:

   1. All purchases must come from one (1) qualified BDO Credit Card only. In computing for the total Spend Amount, the Principal Cardholder is not allowed to combine his/her purchases with the purchases of his/her Supplementary Cardholder/s (if any). 

   2. All local and overseas transactions are qualified EXCEPT for the following:

      1. Local / International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter;

      2. Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.);

      3. Transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in gambling;

      4. Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance, and the like;

      5. BDO Cash Installment (Cash-It-Easy) and Balance Installment (Balance Transfer and Balance Convert);

      6. All other non-points earning transactions

   3. A Cardholder’s purchase that has been used to avail of this offer may no longer be used to avail of another BDO Promo such as but not limited to (1) Shop. Choose. Redeem. (2) Rebate/Cash Back Promos and the like or vice versa.  If Cardholder is found to have made an invalid redemption, multiple redemptions, or is found to have redeemed using fraudulent schemes, BDO shall have the right to charge the full cost of the membership fee to the Cardholder’s BDO Credit Card account or directly collect the cost from the erring Cardholder and the Cardholder will no longer be qualified for the No Membership Fee For Life.

   4. For Cardholders enrolled in the Dual Currency Feature, the spend amount will be computed based on the actual Peso or Dollar value reflected on the billing statement.  In cases where Cardholders have transactions in both currencies, the Dollar spend will be converted to Peso using P50:US$1 conversion rate.  

   5. For installment purchases, the principal/base amount will be included in the computation of spend.

7. All questions and issues of the Cardholder arising from the promo will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of the redemption period, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

8. In case of dispute in respect of but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates, fulfillment, BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the promotion shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.

9. The Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards and the Balance Transfer and Cash-It-Easy Terms and Conditions shall apply.
