If you haven’t received your new American Express Platinum Credit Card, please call the BDO Credit Card Delivery Service Desk at (02) 8688-1222, Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and provide redelivery instructions.
Important Reminders:
Redeem your Membership Rewards® Points on or before October 15, 2022.
If we do not receive your redemption request, unredeemed points under your American Express Gold Credit Card, including the points you earned after the redemption cut-off (if any), will be recomputed and transferred to your new American Express Platinum Credit Card.
You may refer to your points balance as of November 17, 2022 and multiply it by 0.45 to get the number of points that will be transferred to your American Express Platinum Credit Card.
For example: 25,000 unredeemed points x 0.45 = 11,250 points to be transferred

Why will my American Express Gold Credit Card be upgraded?
Your card will be upgraded to American Express Platinum Credit Card as the American Express Gold Credit Card product will be discontinued. The upgrade of your card will ensure that you will continue to have access to American Express privileges. Click here to stay up to date with the latest benefits of your new card.

When will my American Express Gold Credit Card be cancelled?
Your American Express Gold Credit Card will automatically be cancelled on April 7, 2023. Please properly dispose of your old card and Supplementary Card(s), if any, once the new card is activated.

- Latest Credit Limit
- Statement Date
- Existing Supplementary Cards - All existing Supplementary Cards linked to your account will also be upgraded and will be processed automatically together with the Basic Card account.
- Outstanding Balances – All credit card balances and monthly installments will continue to be billed and will reflect on the new card’s Statement of Account.

What will happen to my American Express Virtual Card?
Your American Express Virtual Card will be linked to your new card and will have the same rewards program as your new card.If your American Express Gold Credit Card will expire before December 2023, a new American Express Virtual Card will be issued to you with the same card number but updated expiry date.

What will happen to the current points I have in my American Express Gold Credit Card?
You have the option to redeem your Membership Rewards® Points or have it automatically recomputed and transferred to your new American Express Platinum Credit Card. This includes points earned from American Express Virtual Card and Supplementary Cards, if you have one linked to your card.Redeem your points from the Membership Rewards Catalogue on or before October 15, 2022.

Can I still use my American Express Gold Credit Card while my new card is in transit?
Yes, you may continue to use your American Express Gold Credit Card prior its auto-cancellation date on April 7, 2023, while waiting for the delivery of your new card. This will also apply to your Supplementary Cards, if any.
If you haven’t received your new American Express Platinum Credit Card, please call the BDO Credit Card Delivery Service Desk at (02) 8688-1222, Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and provide redelivery instructions.

What will happen to my payment arrangements?
- All payment arrangements previously enrolled through BDO will automatically be re-enrolled to your new card (e.g. Utility payments via Auto-Charge, Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA)).

For payment arrangements enrolled directly through specific merchant/s (e.g. Utility Bills, Insurance, Subscriptions, etc.), please enroll your new card number to the merchant/s to avoid service interruption.

I have an existing BDO online account, do I need to enroll my new card?
You need to enroll your new card:- If you are using the web-based BDO Online Banking, select Enrollment > Own Account > Enroll > Select Currency > Choose Credit Card under Account Type > Enter Account Number.
- If you are using the BDO Digital Banking app, select More > Enrollment Services > Enroll Own Account > Enter Account Number > Choose Credit Card under Account Type.
You don’t need to enroll your new card if you are using the new BDO Online app. It will automatically appear in your list of accounts.

Can I choose not to upgrade my American Express Gold Credit Card?
Yes, but if you opt-out, PLEASE NOTE that your American Express Gold Credit Card and Supplementary Card(s) will be cancelled on December 1, 2022. You will not receive any replacement card. All your payment arrangements will also be cancelled.Continue to settle all remaining outstanding balances on your American Express Gold Credit Card, including remaining installment transactions, if any.
As for your Membership Rewards® Points, you can redeem your points until January 30, 2023. All remaining unredeemed points after said date will be forfeited.

I have received my new American Express Platinum Credit Card. Should I wait for my American Express Gold Credit Card to auto-cancel before I can use my new card?
Activate and use your new American Express Platinum Credit Card as soon as you receive it to start enjoying your new card benefits and privileges.
