THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has recognized BDO Securities, Inc. as among the six trading participants with the best corporate governance practices at the recently concluded 2013 Bell Awards.

BDO Securities is a stock brokerage subsidiary of BDO Unibank, Inc.

According to the PSE, the winning trading participants were evaluated based on their compliance record, effective organizational structure and sound internal control. They were also judged based on their compliance with the rules of the local bourse and corporate regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), applicable laws, and regulations of relevant government agencies.

The Bell Awards was launched in 2011 by the stock exchange to help promote good governance practices among listed firms and trading participants.
