BDO wins the Best Cash Management Bank award

BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO) was named The Best Cash Management Bank in the Philippines in the recent The Asian Banker Transaction Banking Awards 2014. The awarding ceremony, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia, was attended by BDO officers, namely BDO SVP for Transaction Banking Group-Cash Management Services Jaime M. Nasol, BDO FVP for Transaction Banking Group-Account Management Edgardo R. Marcelo, Jr. and BDO VP for Transaction Banking Group-Client Implementation Angela Veronica M. Dulalia.

BDO, the largest bank in the Philippines in terms of total assets, loans, deposits, capital and trust funds under management, was recognized by the Singapore-based The Asian Banker for its product diversity and exceptional cash management services offered to corporate clients.

“BDO Cash Management Services team is committed to serve the Philippine corporations regardless of their size and the industry they belong to,” Nasol said. “We have a wide range of cash management solutions that are flexible enough to handle various financial requirements of corporate clients.”

Currently, 22 percent of the Top 5,000 corporations in the Philippines are BDO cash management clients. But Nasol said they serve not only the top corporations with huge market shares, but also the small industry players in the country.

“What sets BDO Cash Management Services apart from the rest in the industry is our sensitivity to clients’ needs,” Nasol said. “Our clients come from all types of industries. They vary in size, from one that employs less than 10 personnel to a company that has thousands. Our products are designed with the corporate needs in mind, with provisions for system customization to address specific requirements of corporate clients.”

By consistently creating ways to support the dynamic and changing financial requirements of businesses in the Philippines, BDO hopes to remain the leading provider of cash management services in the country.
