Help Yolanda survivors build fiberglass boats
World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF-Philippines) launched its project "Bancas for the Philippines" to bring fiberglass technology to the communities affected by Typhoon Haiyan, while reducing the use of sawn timber and plywood.
- This project aims to share climate-smart technologies to small-scale, sustenance fishermen whose boats rely on paddle or sail power
- 15-foot bancas made of fiberglass and resin to be built on site
- Boats will be built by the fishermen themselves
Let us help the affected fishermen get back on their feet and rebuild the affected provinces.
