Promo Mechanics

1. The Promo will run from April 18 to September 30, 2022 (“Promo Period”).

2. To qualify for free membership fee on the first year as Elite Cardholder, the Principal Cardholder must agree to upgrade to any of the following cards (Qualified Cards) within the Promo Period via the 2-way SMS facility indicated in the SMS invitation or via Telemarketing offer:

   • BDO Titanium Mastercard™

   • BDO Platinum Mastercard™

   • BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card

   • BDO JCB Platinum Credit Card

   • BDO UnionPay Diamond Credit Card

   • BDO Diners Club Premiere Credit Card

   • BDO-issued American Express Platinum Credit Card

3. 1-year membership fee waiver shall be automatically tagged in the system and starts upon approval of card upgrade request. The membership fee waiver shall not affect and will not result to refund of any annual membership fee settled prior to the card upgrade. Regular Elite Credit Card membership fee will apply after the 1 year period.

4. BDO reserves the right to charge or collect the waived membership fee from the Cardholder, as the case may be, if the Qualified Card was cancelled or converted to a different card type within 12 months of issuance. Further, the 1-year membership fee waiver shall cease to apply and the applicable membership fee of the new card resulting from the conversion to a different card type will follow. 

5. Promo offer is non-transferable and not convertible to cash. Promo offer shall be forfeited if the Qualified Card is found to be delinquent at the time of posting of membership fee. BDO shall solely determine if a Cardholder is in good credit standing.

6. BDO reserves the right to charge the waived membership fee previously awarded to the Cardholder if it was inadvertently awarded.

7. Promo is not valid in conjunction with other card acquisition or upgrade program with fee waiver or cash credit or similar offer. 

8. All questions and issues of the Cardholder arising from the Promo will be accepted within thirty (30) calendar days from the end of Promo Period or October 30, 2022, after which the Promo is considered conclusive.

9. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the promotion, coverage date, fulfillment, shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
