Promo Mechanics:

1. The Promotion is open to Principal and Supplementary Cardholders of BDO Gold UnionPay who have been selected to receive this promo invitation (via SMS/eDM) and will use their card to purchase within the promo period July 1 to August 31, 2018. Redemption Period is from July 15 to October 31, 2018.

2. To qualify, the Principal or Supplementary Cardholder must reach the minimum single local or overseas spend requirement as stated below.

3. All local and international retail, installment, online and Mail Order Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions are qualified.

4. All posted or billed Local or Overseas or Foreign currency purchases shall qualify for this promotion excluding,  but not limited to the following transactions:

   1. Cash advances (may be local or international) made via ATM or over the counter

   2. Any type of Bills Payment:

      • Auto Charge, Charge-on-Demand, Utility or Recurring bills, Loan payments etc.

      • Insurance and School Tuition payments online

   3. Purchases from gasoline or service stations

   4. Transactions from stock trading, foreign exchange trading, financial trading services, remittance and the like

   5. BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, EasyPay Cash and Cash it Easy

   6. Transactions from Casinos or from merchants engaged in (i) Gambling; (ii) Business such as but not limited to Direct or Multi-level marketing (e.g. Mary Kay, Nu Skin, USANA, Herbalife and the like) (iii) Payment Services (e.g. Money Transfer, Moneysend and the like) and Professional Services such as Financial Institutions, Tax Preparation Service, Real Estate Agents/ Brokers/ Managers, Business/ Advertising/ Consulting/ Attorneys/ Legal Services, Credit Reporting Agencies, Accounting/ Auditing/ Bookkeeping SVE

5. For Installment purchases, the principal purchase amount shall be included in the computation of the spend.

6. Splitting of transactions for purposes of generating multiple charge slips is prohibited.

7. For multiple slips generated from the same merchant, store or establishment made within the day, only one (1) qualified charge slip will be accepted for redemption per Cardholder even if he/she has more than one (1) qualified BDO UnionPay Credit Card. Remaining charge slips will not be accepted. The cost of the SM Gift Certificate redeemed through the use of the remaining charge slips shall be charged to the BDO UnionPay Credit Card or directly collected from the Cardholder, at the option of BDO.

8. Only one (1) redemption per qualified charge slip is allowed

9. Purchases must come from one (1) qualified Card. The Principal Card account is treated separately from the Supplementary Card account. Thus, Principal and Supplementary Cardmembers are not allowed to combine their charge slips for redemption of SM Gift Certificates and therefore must fill out separate Online Availment Forms. The Principal or Supplementary Cardholder must be able to provide separate information of the charge slip/s that reflect their corresponding Card Numbers.

10. Cardholder can redeem up to 5x during the Promo Period provided he/she is able to meet the spend requirement.

11. The Cardholder will be charged the cost of the SM Gift Certificate redeemed should he/she cancel the qualifying purchase or transaction at a later date or if the charge slip used to redeem the SM Gift Certificate is found to be fraudulent.  Similarly, if his/her redemption is found to be invalid, BDO reserves the right to charge the cost of the redeemed SM Gift Certificate to his/her credit card or directly collect the cost of the SM Gift Certificate from the Cardholder, at the option of BDO.

12. Card must be active and in good credit standing upon registration.

13. The SM Gift Certificates earned in this promotion have no monetary value and are not convertible to cash.

14. The SM Gift Certificates are not for resale. Any activity involving reselling of the gift certificates will be deemed fraudulent.

15. Cardholders can no longer return/exchange the SM Gift Certificates once availed.

16. This promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos of BDO (e.g. Shop. Choose. Redeem. Installment Treats, Credit Card Activation Programs, Points Multiplier Promos, 50% Off Dining Privileges and rebate promos) and the in-store promo of its partner merchants. The transactions registered in order to avail of any BDO Credit Card promotion can no longer be used to redeem SM Gift Certificates in this promotion.

17. In case of dispute pertaining to, but not limited to, the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates, transaction qualification and fulfillment, etc., BDO's decision will prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with the concurrence of DTI.

18. Terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of UnionPay Credit Cards issued by BDO applies.

Redemption Process

To redeem the SM Gift Certificate, Cardholder must:

1. Visit bit.ly/2018BDOJCBUPSMGCReg to register transaction.

2. Indicate the transaction date, transaction type (Retail or Online), correct currency, transaction amount, and approval code.  An 8-digit Promo Code will be generated for every qualified registered transaction.

3. Write down, print out or take a screen shot of the Promo Code.

4. Proceed to any participating SM branch and present your Promo Code together with the BDO Gold UnionPay Credit Card for each transaction for redemption. The BDO Gold UnionPay Credit Card will be swiped and Promo Code will be keyed in for validation using the Promo redemption terminal. No additional charges will be incurred for redemption.
