Coverage and Inclusions
The policy will reimburse 80% of the Veterinary Expenses you incurred up to amount stated in the benefit table for injuries arising from an accident that is a consequence of or results in one of the following:
- Bone fracture
- Burn or electrocution
- Complications from drowning
- Bite wound or fight wound abscesses
- Tick paralysis
- Snake bite toxicity
- Foreign body obstruction
- Poisoning
- Embedded grass seed
- Anaphylactic shock or allergic reaction to insect or arachnid bites
- Torn nail
Notes:
- Veterinary Expenses from injury occurring or recurring within the first 30 days from policy effective date is not covered. Â
- Preventive care, control of internal and external parasites, experimental procedures, training or medications for behavioral modification, pregnancy and giving birth, post confinement medications, and dental conditions are not covered by this benefit. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the complete list of exclusions.

- Cherry Eye;
- Non-Diabetic Cataracts;

Notes:
- Veterinary Expenses from illnesses diagnosed within the first 60 days from policy effective date or date of effectivity of its last reinstatement is not covered.
- For dogs: infectious canine hepatitis (canine adenovirus), parvovirus, canine distemper, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, canine influenza and all forms of kennel cough; or For cats: parvovirus (including feline panleukopenia), chlamydia, feline leukaemia virus (FeLV), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, herpes virus and all forms of cat flu are not covered. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the complete list of exclusions.
- Preventive care, control of internal and external parasites, experimental procedures, training or medications for behavioral modification, pregnancy and giving birth, post confinement medications, any declared pandemic affecting dogs or cats, any ectoparasite and endoparasite treatments and dental conditions are not covered by this benefit. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the complete list of exclusions.
The policy will reimburse 80% of the Veterinary Expenses you incurred up to the amount stated in the benefit table due to the following acute dental conditions:
- Abscesses
- Removal of teeth where medically necessary due to fractured tooth/teeth
Notes:
- Veterinary Expenses arising from Acute Dental Condition that was sustained within the first 90 days from policy effective date or date of effectivity of last reinstatement is not covered. Â
- Orthodontic treatment crowns, root canal, cosmetic dental surgery, odontoclastic resorptive lesions, preventive care, and experimental procedures are not covered. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the complete list of exclusions.
The following are not covered under Acute Dental Conditions Benefit:
- Any Veterinary Expenses arising from an Acute Dental Condition that was sustained by the Insured Pet during the waiting period of sixty (60) days from the Policy Effective Date or date of effectivity of its last reinstatement, if any;
- Orthodontic treatment crowns;
- Root canal, cosmetic dental surgery or corrective treatment;
- Odontoclastic resorptive lesions;
- Preventive care such as but not limited to dental prophylaxis;
- Experimental or investigative procedures;
- Any other dental condition not defined under Acute Dental Conditions.
The policy will pay the amount indicated on the benefit table due to the following:
Death as a result of the covered accident. Please read the Pet Medical Reimbursement for Covered Accidental Injuries for the list of covered accidents or refer below.Â

- Voluntary euthanasia i.e. non-essential euthanasia
- Accidental death or euthanasia occurring outside of the Philippines.
The policy will reimburse 90% of the following expenses from legal liability you incurred up to the amount stated in the benefit table due to the actions of the pet:
- Medical necessary expenses of others as a result of an injury caused by your pet;
- Veterinary expenses of a pet of others as a result of an injury caused by your pet;
- Legal fees in defending a claim against you;
- Repair or replacement costs incurred due to damage to the property of others.
Notes:
- You must immediately notify BDO Insure or the insurance company of any incident that may be potentially claimable under this benefit.
- You must not agree to pay or settle any amount or negotiate without the consent or approval of the insurance company, except for medically necessary expenses for immediate relief of the other person and/or his/her pet.
- Liability caused by your pet with a history of aggression, punitive damages, and liability occurred outside of the Philippines are not covered. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the complete list of exclusions.
The policy will reimburse 90% of the Veterinary Expenses incurred up to the amount indicated on the benefit table due to the covered condition sustained by your pet under the Medical Reimbursement due to Specified Accidental Injury Benefit, Medical Reimbursement due to Specified Illness Benefit, or Acute Dental Conditions Benefit, if you availed these benefits, sustained while on a trip outside of the Philippines with your pet.Â
This benefit is subject to the following:
- The international trip must not be more than 30 days,
- The payment will be in PHP at the exchange rate on the date of the claim notification,
- You must obtain the required permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry, airline, or shipping company for the pet and must comply with the requirements for international pet travel of the destination country.
The following are not covered:
- Any veterinary expenses if the international trip is more than 30 days
- Any veterinary expenses If the pet or the pet owner live permanently outside of the Philippines
- Exchange commission or bank charges incurred for foreign payment
- Any veterinary expenses if the pet was not under the direct care of the pet owner
- Any Veterinary Expenses arising from a condition sustained while in quarantine
- Any travel or repatriation charges to return the Insured Pet to the Philippines.
The policy will pay the amount indicated on the benefit table in the event of a Petnapping of the pet committed by a Third Party occurring within the Philippines. The Petnapping must be reported to the police within forty-eight (48) hours of discovering the Petnapping of the pet. The Petnap Benefit shall only be payable once during the lifetime of the Insured Pet.

- DHLPPi multivalent vaccine (5-in-1 for Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza)

- Every 1-3 years:Â DHLPPi
Vaccination Requirements for Cat:
- Multivalent vaccine (3-in-1 for Feline Panleukopenia, Herpesvirus, and Calicivirus), Rabies vaccine

Veterinary Expenses means the reasonable, customary and Medically Necessary expenses incurred and paid in respect of customary examination, consultation, diagnostic work-up (diagnostic imaging, laboratory works, histopathology examination, etc.) and Veterinary Treatment and Management prescribed and/or provided by a Veterinarian during the coverage period

Yes. Eligibility age for the pet owner Accidental Death & Disablement Benefit is 18 - 70 years old. You should be in good health and actively and independently performing three (3) or more of the Activities of Daily Living namely washing, dressing, transferring, mobility, toileting, feeding, without any aid or support.

Yes. All dogs and cats as long as they have a Pet Book and between 3 months to 6 years can buy Pet Dog and Cat Insurance.
Yes. The Pet Dog and Cat Insurance is renewable until your pet dog or cat reaches 12 years old as long as your pet is continuously insured since the age of six (6). However, in case there is a lag in renewal (e.g. policy expired May 30 and you re-enrolled June 30), the waiting periods for injury and sickness will have to be observed again.Â
No, the Pet Dog and Cat Insurance is not transferrable. In case of claim, only the pet dog or cat enrolled is covered by the insurance plan.
